When Will contacted me about photographing his surprise proposal in Central Park the summer of 2016, the last thing on my mind was being able to fly out to photograph his future Florida wedding — but man oh man, am I so happy I was given the honor to.

With the coming of the new year and end of the busy wedding season comes lots of emotions, but most of all satisfaction. There's no other way to say it: 2017 was the year of badass weddings and couples. Thank you to all of the amazing people who trusted me to photograph their love and memorialize the best day of their lives.

Normally, when one thinks of New Yorkers, the image of a person living in the concrete jungle, running their finance firm in Wall Street, donning a sleek look and fresh Italian brewed coffee in hand comes up. One thinks, they must hate nature and everything about it. Well, apparently not Chaz and Grant! They made all of their NYC inhabitants (including me) drive five hours way from the comforts of home to right smack in the middle of nowhere.

Sometimes, getting away from the hustle and bustle of the big city is needed. That's why I was so ecstatic when Jessica and Ricardo inquired for their wedding being held at The Vineyards at Aquebogue. Wine, Long Island, and a day full of love? YES PLEASE. The weather couldn't have been more perfect for this beautiful celebration.

Traveling between two home bases has it's perks, but it usually means I sometimes don't get to officially meet my bride and grooms before there wedding day. Walking into the Lake House Inn nestled in the gorgeous state of Pennsylvania, I had no I idea who or what I would find. When you first pull into their lot, you don't see much. A beautiful stone, cottage-style building greets surrounded by huge pine and oak trees greet you...

Glenivette and Douglass
City Hall — NYC Elopement

Sometimes the extravagance of a wedding is incredibly overwhelming, and that's okay. That's what eloping is for! And it's exactly what Glenivette and Douglass did in the bustling courthouse of City Hall. Before this day, I had never been to the marriage bureau, so when we walked through security (I actually got yelled at for taking a photo, lol) and saw the amount of people waiting to be called, I was so surprised! Apparently, Friday mornings are prime time to get married ;)...

Elizabeth and Ryan

Turf Valley Resort — MD Wedding

If you know my work or anything about me, you know that I LIVE for details and portraits. So when Elizabeth and Ryan came to me and told me that they didn't care for either of those and wanted to focus on the party, I have to be honest — every fiber in me wanted to run. Instead, I decided to challenge myself and threw my usual method out the window (although I did convince them to let me take a few portraits before the party began). And I'm so glad I did!...
